Job Description:

Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for the management, service and performance of accounts within their assigned channel. They will serve as the key relationship and marketing consultant for clients, providing strategic marketing consulting, alignment for marketing and sales consulting, project management, communications management and relationship management. The Accounts Manager will also oversee the provision of technical services to drive results in alignment with clients’ business and marketing goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary lead for the management and growth of new and existing client relationships by developing and maintaining strong professional communication with key stakeholders of client accounts and leads.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ challenges and opportunities, discern insights on their business and marketplace, and develop plans and strategies that achieve clients’ marketing goals.
  • Create, implement and manage each assigned client’s strategic marketing plan in order to ensure that the services provided advance the client towards predefined company objectives and goals.
    Develop, refine and apply consulting and management skills and expertise to successfully manage client relationships and ensure the delivery of products and services in line with Zest’s Consulting & Management services.
  • Collaborate with and oversee activities of cross-functional teams on each assigned engagement to ensure that technical services align with client strategic objectives and brand, and to deliver the highest quality products to Zest’s clients.
  • Manage the execution and delivery of client projects by scheduling and coordinating processes between Zest’s technical service teams, client internal resources and external partners.
  • Collaborate with business development personnel to facilitate scoping of new and renewed engagements for assigned channels.
  • Adhere to and advance Zest processes, standards and procedures for client services to influence client satisfaction and growth.
  • Support company leadership by providing status, progress and financial reporting intended to forecast account performance and client satisfaction.
  • Construct, manage and report on client budgets, to include status, projections and growth potential.
  • Support internal operations by reporting status of client budget, expenses and billings.
  • Meet and exceed individual performance goals and expectations as defined by the organization.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business management, finance, marketing or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience serving in a marketing consulting or account management position
  • Experience in lead generation marketing for professional industries including law and financial services
  • Project management experience in a marketing agency or department preferred
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of the goals and objectives of professional service organizations in industries including law and financial services.
  • Detailed understanding and experience using platforms including but not limited to: Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, Snapchat, WordPress, Mailchimp, Dropbox and Google Suite
  • Proven knowledge of or experience in sales or business development processes
  • Proven experience and success in the provision, creation and implementation of marketing services, specifically as it relates to professional service providers
  • Advanced skills in analyzing an organization’s competitive position including market and industry trends, performing SWOT analysis and identifying viable prospect leads
  • Experience in performing forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning
  • Success in developing, maintaining and strengthening partnerships with others inside and outside of an organization
  • Experience and demonstrable growth in an account or service management role
  • Strong skills in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams with varying backgrounds, skills and experience levels
  • Strong ability to delegate work across functional service teams and among peers
  • Applicable knowledge of management and leadership principles
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills
