Job Description:

Creative Specialist

The Creative Specialist will utilize their technical skills to produce high quality creative content in alignment with clients’ brand and marketing goals. This individual will collaborate across service departments to enable the successful delivery of client services to include Brand Design & Management, Website Design, Digital Design, Print Design, Photography, Videography, Post Production and Animation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, design and manage creative products that enhance our clients’ brand, messaging and marketing presence, in line with Zest’s Creative Services.
  • Provide strategic consultation to the digital, web, consultation & management and business development teams focusing on delivering high quality design products and solutions.
  • Research, understand, consult on and apply current and upcoming design trends, industry trends and developments related to Creative services.
  • Produce expert-quality content and deliver services in line with the creative team standards, processes and procedures.
  • Proof and perform quality control on individual and creative team products in detail.
    Assist the Creative Director in scoping projects pertaining to Creative Services.
  • Organize and maintain design files (raw, development, final) in accordance with creative team standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate, quality check and approve projects with vendors to ensure that products align with the creative team’s standards for client service delivery.
  • Advance and adhere to Zest process, procedures and technical standards for all Zest Creative Services and products delivered.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
  • Minimum 3+ years’ design experience in a reputable agency or professional organization; or 4+ years experience working as a freelance designer
  • A portfolio of work related to the position
  • Experience in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom
  • Experience in the use of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Animate and Adobe After Effects
  • Mastery of the principles related to logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design
  • Expertise in using both Mac and PC operating systems
  • Expertise in using cloud data storage platforms such as Dropbox and Google Drive
  • Proven experience and success in the acquisition of stock artwork, with a focus on vetting sources and securing the appropriate licenses
  • Proven experience providing design consultation in a professional setting
  • Experience in successfully facilitating vendor relationships, to include having an understanding of the factors that affect the quality of specific vendor products
  • Experience working with cross functional teams of mixed backgrounds, skills and experience levels
